The Nissan GT-R is a 2-door car available at your Nissan dealer. The GT-R came in two configurations: Base and Premium. The Premium configuration is powered by the 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine, which makes 23 highway miles and 17 city. The GT-R competes in the Coupe market segment, in direct competition with Infiniti.

2009 Nissan GT-R Premium Specs

Standard equipment in the GT-R for 2008 and 2009 includes the 3.8 liter engine by Nissan, weighing in at 6 cylinders and twenty four valves. A 6-speed Automatic Transaxle puts the power of the engine to the pavement. The has proven to be a popular configuration for the GT-R.

The fuel system for the 2009 GT-R is a traditional SFI, running on gasoline fuel. The fuel is controlled by an electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design. The capacity of the fuel tank is 12 gallons.

The GT-R uses power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. Steering is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The car uses coil and coil springs front and rear respectively.

The original manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) was an industry-low price when new, with a dealer invoice cost of an industry-low price. This price was in line with the industry average price for a 2-door Coupe.

Fuel Efficiency

The 2009 GT-R gets 23 miles/gallon on the highway and only 17 in the city. This is below average for a coupe car.

The 2008 model began the promise of the Nissan GT-R. The 2009 expanded on this success and has proven to be a strong seller in most markets. Even with strong competition from other manufacturers Nissan hopes that the GT-R Premium will continue to be a profitable vehicle.
