A Better 2007′s Model: The 2008 Nissan 350Z Base

There have been several award-winning cars from Nissan over the years, including the Nissan 350Z of 2008. There are five trim levels to the 350Z, including Nismo, Touring, Grand Touring, Enthusiast, and Base. The Base version is one of the more popular options, outselling other configurations. Like in 2007 the popular 3.5 liter has made this a popular choice for coupe buyers nationwide.
2008 Nissan 350Z Base Specs
Nissan 350Z Engine Specs: The 350Z Base comes outfitted with a 3.5 liter, 6-cylinder motor that uses 24 valves. The engine, manufactured by Nissan, is mated to a six-speed transmission by Nissan. This arrangement has demonstrated to be an effective style for Nissan.
The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. Steering is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The 350Z uses power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. Load balancing is provided by coil front springs and coil in the rear.
The fuel system for the 2008 350Z is a traditional SFI, running on gasoline fuel. The fuel is controlled by an electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design. The capacity of the fuel tank is 20.00 gallons.

The dimensions of the 350Z Base are 71.50 inches wide by 169.80 inches long. It sits 52.10 inches off the ground. It seats a standard two passengers, with 2 doors. The wheelbase of 104.30 allows for extra leg room for the rear passengers.
The standard warranty period for the 350Z is 36 months, or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. This is standard in the coupe market.
The original manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) was $28,510 when new, with a dealer invoice cost of an industry-low price. This price was in line with the industry average price for a 2-door Coupe.
MPG Ratings
The 350Z Base received a miles-per-gallon rating of eighteen in-city driving and twenty five when it came to highway driving. Being a gas-powered non-hybrid car, this was within normal parameters.
In 2007 and 2008 the 350Z Base was availble in the exterior colors of Carbon Silver Metallic, Magnetic Black, Nogaro Red Metallic, Pikes Peak White, San Marino Blue, and Silver Alloy Metallic.
Parting Shots
The 2007 model began the promise of the Nissan 350Z. The 2008 expanded on this success and has proven to be a strong seller in most markets. Even with strong competition from other manufacturers Nissan hopes that the 350Z Base will continue to be a profitable vehicle.
