Our Review of the 1991 Infiniti G20 Base
A lot has been said about the Infiniti G20 for 1991. As Infiniti's entry in the sedan market the G20 (and in this case specically the Base version) has maintained a solid reputation. The 4-door G20 is especially appealing to wide market segment, making it a perfect car to help Infiniti as a brand in general.
Performance
The G20 Base is equipped with a Nissan 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine that utilizes 16 valves. The engine is mated to a Jatco 4-speed Transaxle. This configuration has proven to be a successful design for Infiniti.
The fuel system for the 1991 G20 is a traditional SFI, running on gasoline fuel. The fuel is controlled by an electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design. The capacity of the fuel tank is 15.90 gallons.
Steering control is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The G20 has power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. The car uses coil front springs and coil in the rear.
G20 Base Statistics
The dimensions of the G20 Base are 66.70 inches wide by 175.00 inches long. It sits a comfortable 54.90 inches off the ground. It seats a standard five passengers, with 4 doors. The wheelbase of 100.40 allows for limited leg room for the backseat passengers.
The listed retail price in 1991 (MSRP) was $17,750, with an invoice cost of an industry-average price. This price is slightly higher than the industry average price for a four-door Sedan.
The standard warranty period for the G20 is 60* months, or 50,000* miles, whichever comes first. This is standard in the sedan market.
Fuel Efficiency
The G20 Base received a miles-per-gallon rating of twenty four in-city driving and thirty two when it came to long-distance. Being a gas-powered non-green car, this was subpar.
In Summary
The 1991 model year was unsuccessful for the Infiniti G20. The introduction of several trim levels (along with the Base version) meant that buyers had several options to choose from..

Thanks. I need to look more I guess. I need a new car this year.
I’m definiately wanting a flex fuel sedan. Since the G20 isn’t, is it a good buy?
