The Mazda RX-7 R2 for 1995

There's been a lot of talk about the Mazda RX-7 for 1995. As a leading car in the coupe market the RX-7 (and in this case specically the R2 version) has maintained a high standard. The 2-door RX-7 is especially appealing to broad audience, making it a perfect car to help Mazda as a brand in general.

Under the Hood

Mazda RX-7 Engine Specs: The RX-7 R2 comes outfitted with a 1.3 liter, 2-cylinder motor that uses 12 valves. The engine, manufactured by Mazda, is mated to a five-speed transmission by Mazda. This arrangement has demonstrated to be an effective style for Mazda.

Steering control is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The RX-7 comes equipped with power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. The car uses coil front springs and coil in the rear.

The RX-7 is 168.50 inches long, 68.90 inches wide, and 48.40 inches high. It has a wheelbase of 95.50 inches. It is able to seat 2 comfortably.

The original manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) was $37,800 when new, with a dealer invoice cost of an industry-high price. This price was in line with the industry average price for a 2-door Coupe.

Fuel Efficiency

The fuel system for the 1995 RX-7 is a MPI design, using gasoline fuel. The fuel flow is controlled by a electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design. The fuel capacity of the fuel tank is 20.10 gallons.

The RX-7 R2 received a miles-per-gallon rating of seventeen in-city driving and 24 - 25 when it came to highway driving. Being a gas-powered non-hybrid car, this was within normal parameters.

What We Think of the Mazda RX-7

The 1994 model began the promise of the Mazda RX-7. The 1995 expanded on this success and has proven to be a strong seller in most markets. Even with strong competition from other manufacturers Mazda hopes that the RX-7 R2 will continue to be a profitable vehicle.
