In 2008 Infiniti released the G37 Sport to the car-buying market. The G37 came in three configurations: Base, Journey, and Sport. The Sport configuration is powered by the 3.7-liter six-cylinder engine, which makes 23 highway miles and 17 city. The G37 competes in the Coupe market segment, in direct competition with Infiniti.
One of the staples of the Sedan segment is the Infiniti G35. In the previous model year released a brand new version of the G35 with four versions: Base, X, Journey, Sport, and X Sport. Sales for the G35, especially the G35 Sport, were brisk during 2008 and 2009. The improved vehicle quality and the classic styling were responsible for the sales boost.
Infiniti G35 Engine Specs: The G35 Sport comes outfitted with a 3.5 liter, 6-cylinder motor that uses 24 valves. The engine, manufactured by Nissan, is teamed up with a Nissan 6-speed transmission. This arrangement has demonstrated to be an effective style for Infiniti.
The 2008 MX-5 Miata is an important vehicle to Mazda for the convertible market segment. The Sport is a member of a series of four trim levels for the MX-5 Miata which include Touring, Sport, Grand Touring, and SV. The two-door car with its rear-wheel drive is positioned to aggressively fill this niche for Mazda. There is strong competition from vehicles from Infiniti.
